We want to provide you best psychiatric services at a low cost by working with your health plans. Please help us by knowing your benefits and deductibles ahead of your appointment, and please make your payments on time and during/ before your office visits in our payment system.

What to expect regarding payments

1. Most health plans these days have high deductibles- which means you have to pay for physician services till you have met your deductible and after that you may or may not have a copay.

2. We try our best to check your benefits (copays and deductibles) on health plan sites- sometimes it is not the most updated information online.

3. Sometimes we have to wait for insurance companies to reimburse our claims to find out patient portion of the co pay or deductible, which can delay our invoices, and sometimes it can be a few months before we can sort out the payment issues. Please be patient with us.

4. Please look at your Explanation of benefits statements (EOBs), which you receive them from all insurance plans after your visits. If you have overpaid and have a credit we will refund you.

5. Please be aware that final obligation for payment for our services is yours. If Insurances do not reimburse us for services you are responsible. Please inform us of any changes in your insurance coverage or mental health benefits as soon as you know.

Please call/ text/ email office@bethesdapsychmd.com J 202-999-5712, Jennifer she can help you create an account on our patient portal on Advanced MD , so we can send you all the forms. We need these forms and your credit card information before any visits or tele-medicine sessions. Your credit card information is well protected, and we only use them after your consent regarding any pending charges.
